Help us provide relief to the people in Haiti affected by this devastating earthquake. We support Amputee Rehabilitation programs recently created to assist those most unfortunate.
On January 12th, 2010, the poorest country in the Caribbean was hit by a 7.0 earthquake, the strongest to affect Haiti in over 200 years. The American Red Cross estimates that 3 million people were affected by this disaster, of which many thousands are amputees.
Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities International has a Haiti Disaster Relief Fund to help victims of the earthquake. We are raising funds in support of an Amputee Rehabilitation Program recently established at Sacred Heart Hospital near our Sister City Cap Haitien where American volunteer Orthopedic Surgeons have established the first ever Prosthetics Center in northern Haiti.
Assist us in making it possible for these amputees to receive prosthetics and have the possibility to once again resume productive lives. Please help us by making your donation today. Your contribution goes directly to the people who need help the most.
All funds collected through Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities International are documented and accounted for to benefit the survivors of the earthquake
