Get Involved in GFLSCI!
You can get involved with Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities International in a variety of ways and at many levels. Through our programs involving youth education, sustainable development, economic development, environmental efforts, humanitarian assistance, and arts and culture, individuals and communities can participate in a unique combination of grassroots citizen activism and local community support in an international context.
Who Can Participate?
As a nonprofit, citizen diplomacy network that creates and strengthens partnerships between U.S. and international communities to increase global cooperation at the local level, Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities International is comprised of individual members, as well as U.S. cities, counties, states, and similar jurisdictions in other countries. As international cooperation gains importance, city-to-city programs become increasingly significant to overall global development. Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities International, Inc. welcomes all members of the international community to become members. To be eligible, an international community must have at least one U.S. sister city, county, or state partnership, and have the ability to show proof of the signed agreement.
